Trauma Sensitive Yoga with Liz Chesla
Feb 4 @ 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Yoga can be a powerful healing tool for survivors of trauma. But the very practice of yoga can unintentionally re-traumatize survivors, triggering powerful memories, sensations and emotions.
A trauma-informed approach to teaching can help ensure that all of your students feel safe and experience yoga as an empowering, healing practice.

In this workshop, you’ll learn:

How trauma affects the body
Evidence-based principles of trauma-sensitive teaching
Concrete, practical ways to integrate trauma-sensitive teaching principles into your classes
You’ll also be guided through a model trauma-sensitive practice and leave with multiple resources to put your knowledge into practice.

Please bring a mat and notebook.
