Yoga for Kids with Anxiety (Grades 3-6)
Does your child worry excessively? Have fears that can not be calmed? He or she may have anxiety. It may be a fear of getting on the bus or going to school or tests or social situations. It may be anxiety about things you as a parent can not understand. It may show up as stomach issues, lethargy, anger, tears or other symptoms but kids are feeling the stress in our society. Yoga can help. By learning different breathing techniques, meditation and yoga postures you child can learn to better understand their anxiety, their triggers and how to take control back of their mind and body to become more comfortable and confident Students will begin to learn to embrace experiences and life instead of trying to withdrawal from them.

Every Monday 5:15-6:15pm
$150 for 6 sessions
Class size is limited to 10 to meet the needs of each student and to help them learn to take control of their anxiety and their life.
About Instructor Joanna Hurd
Joanna Hurd is currently a public school teacher in Bucks County and has been teaching children in grades 3-9 for 17 years. She has completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training and is currently working on her 500 hour teacher training. She has been teaching yoga for 8 years and has a Masters degree in Professional Clinical Counseling from LaSalle University. She is passionate about combining her love of children and yoga to help children overcome emotional struggles and find joy in themselves and life.
